What to do in Jasper? That is question a lot of people ask us.
So we share our highlights here for you and we keep updating it so always come back to get some local insights.
'What to do in Jasper in the evening?', that one is easy: 'From Jasper with love' of course!
Looking for a family friendly activity? Old fort point is the perfect intermediate hike close to town. If you do the round trip it will take you 1.5 hour with one steep part in the middle. On top of the mountain you have a gorgeous view over the town and surrounded area. Highly recommend for a short hike with amazing views over Jasper National Park.
On our days off we love to go to town in the afternoon and have a snack and a drink. Some of the best patios? I would say Jasper Pizza Place, Jasper Inn Grill, (there fries are out of this world), The Raven Bistro for amazing cocktails or NBHD for some good natural wines. But to be honest, the best patio is at our show! Gorgeous mountain views so people love to come early to come for a drink before the show. And I am the bartender which makes it even more fun ;-).

What to do in the evening in Jasper? Look up at night! Jasper is a dark sky preserve so the stars are endless. And if you are lucky, you can see the Northern Lights. The best places to see the stars and milky way? Pyramid mountain is a good spot, otherwise Lake Annette is a good one. But if you just walk a little bit out of town, that could help already. Perfect activity after our show 'From Jasper with love'.

At the show we do everything. I am the bartender and Pieter is the host. Then we are the actors of course and after the show we clean up. That makes our show super personal and we love to have that connection with our guests. The show itself is not a classical theater show, we play scenes as characters but we are ourselves as well so we can share more local facts about Jasper.

Yes, it can be a bit cold at the beginning but you just have to! Swimming in those amazing blue lakes is something different. Lake Annette and Lake Edith are good spots, but don't forget about Horseshoe Lake (not many people know this one). Go early because the parking spot can be filled up pretty easy.
What to do in Jasper? Definitely hiking of course, and one of my favourites here in Jasper National Park is Sulphur Skyline. The hike itself takes about 3.5/4 hours but it is so worth it. The 360 degrees view over the mountain range is one you will never forget. After the hike you can jump into the hot springs, go for dinner in town and come to the show as the perfect ending of your outdoorsy day exploring Jasper National Park.

Psst... of course the Maligne Canyon is amazing and you should definitely see this one. But on the Icefield parkway there is the beauty creek canyon. Not as big as the Maligne Canyon, but so worth it. Not as busy and it really looks like a fairytale. Perfect if you are coming from Banff to Jasper, or if you are looking for a short hike when you are going to Banff.
Why I think this is the perfect evening activity here in Jasper? First I love that we offer something different here in this mountain town. The Canadian Rockies are amazing and everyone comes for the nature, but why not change it up this evening? Especially after a day in nature you will have such a good time with local stories, funny skits and facts & figures about Jasper. And I love that we are not a typical classical theater, but we changed it up as well. Something fresh and fun to do in the evening in Jasper.
